Tordek's Theory of Hair

Postby jadewik » September 19th, 2007, 11:01 pm

In Skype chat with Curu and Tordek last night, we were discussing the "fact" that all woman cause the downfall of men. From there, we somehow got to the topic of haircutting... and from there to... the tendancy for women to cut their hair after they get married.

Tordek's theory of hair is that all women cut their hair shortly after getting married.

I have to say, I'm noticing a trend.

After I got married, I cut my hair. Of course, I wanted to cut it BEFORE the wedding (I donate my hair to locks of love every 4 years-- when it's long enough)... but my sister-in-law, who was doing my hair, asked me to wait because it's easier to style. So I cut it a couple months after getting hitched.

One of my old roommates cut their hair after getting married....

One of my old HS buddies cut her hair after getting hitched....

One of my roommates trimmed her hair for the wedding (but it was already short).

Has anyone else noticed this trend?
Is Tordek crazy?
Am I crazy for posting this?

... the world may never know!

You guys talk on Skype? You should come to the RP'ers Ventrilo sometime! It'd be great.

But, for the topic. I don't pay attention to that.

If it's true why do you guys think they do it?

Well, I'm thinking by then they're sick of it, and they don't "need to look pretty for everyone" anymore, so away it goes.

But me, I love my hair. It's for me. So I'mma keep it.

And the Ventrilo. It can be found at Shangri-La a a dozen other places. I think it was advertised here at least once... It was at first made for all the RP'ers around here but now it is owned by other people so it has WoW and a couple other games on it. There's still a spot for RP'ers and we have a lot of fun though.

I haven't noticed. I'm too busy keeping my own waist-length hair out from under my glasses. :P

Haircut statistics

Postby quint6778 » September 21st, 2007, 8:48 am

I think most women cut their hair shorter when they get older, it just so happens marriage occurs around the same time. Hair thins out, gets less manageable, so they cut it short.

It's also because it's a haircut...and what does hair do when it gets cut, it gets shorter. Dont guys get haircuts before the same events? It's just not as noticable. You'll agree after you see Ellen Degeneres get married.

I like arguing stupid things who wants to talk about Donovan McNabb.
