Who said anything about promoting it? I thought I was deterring people away from it by mentioning that case that happened a few years ago.

Graffiti is almost its own style of art now-a-days... I mean the style is, not the vandalism aspect. Hell if I can read it, though... Haha.

Ahh....graffiti=vandalism, eh? Well, I personally prefer to see some good graffiti on passing traincars than just boring metal....but that's about it

Not all graffiti is vandalism. I've seen kids graffiti their homework binders and notebooks. I've seen graffiti murals on walls downtown. I've seen graffiti artists paint awesome pictures on Fremont Street in Las Vegas, NV. It's the style that's cool.... destroying someone else's property by "tagging" is not-so-cool.
"Graffiti" has a negative association because it's most often found in places it shouldn't be, where it defaces someone else's property without their permission. That's the "vandalism" aspect that most people associate graffiti with.
Drawing "graffiti" is peachy, it's where you put it that makes it vandalism.

I agree with Jade. Graffiti on traincars
can't be called vandalism

Tarathilien is just itching to buy his own traincar and graffiti away! Off to the 99 cent store with you, ya smarmy rascal . Buy a model train and practice-practice-practice. Then you can get a glass case and display it on your desk right beside your monitor... and every time you look at it, you can think of me... and your mad graffiti skillz. =P
(Hehe... you cracker! Don't expect I won't tease you back!)

Lol, graffiti is indeed an awsome style of art... urban art i must say. It is very cool to make up your own style. I'm trying to make up a tag character, u know those things that sum people kind of like a signature, but w/ a lil cartoon guy.
