Hi,
what specifically is the deal with the samuri guild skill.
I managed to kill a samurai the other day to get a token, when I showed it to the next samurai, he promptly attacked me and took the token. Since then Ive killed at least half a dozen more but not seen another token.
Can someone shed some light please.

The token (when it works) will grant you ieatsu (spelling?). Basically it is a a strong berserk that you can use on your first attack (like backstab) execpt it doesn't increase the chance of you gaining stats.
IMO with the current version of DC, I would reccomand you don't get ieatsu skills and instead get either trader (backstab) or sage skill.

why is it that you can kill the samurai, over and over again, then out of the blue, the (rude word) kills you in one go. what is the recomended lvl, and what size guts would you need for going there...and what is the best way to deal with the (another rude word)??

well, since the monster level pretty much increases with you, it takes quite awhile until they can't randomly kill you in one hit either with a berzerk or an ieatsu. I think I was over 250 guts before they stopped getting me in one hit. High defense helps, but what's better is high skill and attack, you hit first, and harder to kill them in one hit instead.

I can't remember, but i *think* monster's stats go up either by skill or level or a combonation of both.

Maybe it is because I keep trying to answer the question! If what you say is correct, they shouldn't be able to kill me at all!
My Stats are thus:
Sen Scorchas
lvl 31
guts 492
wits 92
charm 388
att 283
def 310
skill 944
f35/m5/t22
This is not base! Do you think I should be getting killed with these lvls?

Up your skill. Higher skill means you hit first.

Hey, I am drunk already! Habit of a lifetime; I am Irish, what do you expect? I always njoy! As long as you have a smile on your cake-eater, everything is good. Hunky-bloody-dory! Fan-bloody-tastic! Woohoo!

For the record, if it weren't for spirits (aka liquors) the Irish would have taken over the world long ago.

You know it's true!! Yep...for darn-tootin' sure it's true! (sorry...bad ameican stereotype) I've said it before, and i'll say it again: salt of the earth! We Irish...we are soft, but hard! We like to stir things, but are ready to let them simmer! We delve, yet we sit back! We give for friendship, and ask nothin' in return! As Moby Dick says: He piled upon the hump, the sum of all his rage... if his heart had been a cannon, he would have fired it!

Hi:
Sorry...I like to dabble in the long forgotten art of the wordsmith! Words are...they are the essance of formal society; without them, we are lost! Words describe what we are; what are we? Lost skin, folding back and forth through time; Endless matter! Hmmm. I lose myself! Words are your being...they make you breathe. Words sum up beliefs! They encompass the heart...be it in decay, or flourishing! Ahhh... my soul speaks! Define you...me! Writing...writing! What can you say? It is detrimental to the soul! Long live the spoken/written word! Let it be so! I am humbled in it's presence! Art...art!
PEACE!
