A. Common Name
Keryth
B. Full Title and Rank
Keryth Chaosblade
C. Race
Human
D. Magical Affinity
Fire
E. Military Division/Rank
Civilian
F. Character Overview
Keryth, 23 years old, is just about as insane as insane can get. He lives for his mentally deranged state, fueling it with the intense emotions of his shattered mind. He holds no regards for law, order, establishment, government, or any other authority. Instead, he does whatever suits him best. At times, this might include following a few laws in order to keep the authority from getting too suspicious of him. When too much suspicion arises, he begins to roam again.
G. Ability
Keryth really has no special abilities to speak of aside from his unique personality. Born with an unstable mind due to severe schizophrenia, Keryth's parents abandoned him with an aging archmage in hopes that he would find a way to solve the child's problems. While the rest is explained in his history, Keryth has learned some spells for manipulating the energies of fire.
H. Physiology
For a human, Keryth seems normal with a few exceptions. His sable hair is long and unkempt with streaks of red. His right eye is as black as night, yet his left eye is as green as an emerald. It is unknown what caused that birth defect, but Keryth embraces it as much as his schizophrenia and insanity. He has a slender and frail frame that prevents him from wielding heavy weapons and armor.
I. History
Born with an unstable mind due to severe schizophrenia, Keryth's parents abandoned him with a shady, aging archmage in hopes that he would find a way to solve the child's problems. Instead, the archmage disappeared with the child and taught him all that he knew. It was especially frustrating on the archmage's part due to the child's insanity, but he pressed on and on to teach the child what he knew. His labor wasn't in vain, though, as he was able to teach Keryth about fire magic, which came easily to Keryth. Aside from that, the mage made no other progress and eventually left him. When he left, however, he gave Keryth a cursed dagger called Chaosblade. Intrigued by the nature of the weapon, he adopted it's name as his own surname.
For several years, Keryth has been wondering aimlessly, wreaking havoc where ever his insanity leads him. Now, as he walks upon the lands of Dragon Court, only time will tell what this psychopath will do.
J. Mannerisms
Keryth is an interesting individual, if you will. He hardly suffers from insanity, derangement, madness, schizophrenia, whatever you want to call it. Instead, he embraces it and lives to fulfill his own world. Many consider him to be nihilistic. Others consider him to be narcissitic. Still, there are some that simply don't care.
K. Properties of Choice
Chaosblade
The cursed dagger entrusted to the psychopath. The blade, made from an unknown alloy, is blacker than onyx with red arcane runs upon the blade. It constantly calls out and beckons for its wielder to unleash its powers. As Keryth as learned from experience, the cursed dagger temporarily prevents the natural healing of wounds, causing an excrutiating amount of pain for its victims.
Chaosblade also has the dark ability to siphon the blood from its victims and feed it to the wielder, causing further speculation about the archmage that once carried it. The more blood that is upon the blade, the more blood that is fed to the wielder. Though Keryth has rarely used the blade, he has found out that the taste of blood is rather interesting and almost delightful. Perhaps if he were to become a vampyre the blade would serve its true purpose...
L. Sociology
Nihilistic, narcissitic, absent-minded, schizophrenic, paranoid, psychopathic, mentally-deranged in every possible fashion, insane beyond comprehension. These are just some of the ways that people refer to Keryth. To further back this, he has the habit of randomly laughing maniacally for long amounts of time before returning back to his chaotic imagination. As some have learned, the chaoticness of his thought patterns makes telepathically reading and interperating his mind damn near impossible. Perhaps in his weakness (or at least through the eyes of others) there is a great strength that work in subtle ways.
Whenever it comes to interacting with others, there is no way to accurately predict what he will do or say. However, one can expect him to repeat his favorite word, "Cactus", for a long period of time at random intervals. Why he has such an absolute interest in that plant is unknown. And, even more, who would care to know aside from him?
