Clan Titan

I was playing some of my new characters and thinking, what if we created a unicorn pendent system?

This would, of course, be aimed at helping new players or new characters getting into the castle faster and thus helping out the clan.

I realize this is an item and should be under supply but, this would be helping characters that could not be titan members yet (hopefully) and since we do take any donations of unicorn horns, we can't mass produce the pendents

Here is the basic layout:

Billy Joe creates a new character and deciedes he wants to join titan. Since this is his first character he doesn't have a way to send the character a "starter's package". After a few days of questing, Billy Joe posts at our forum stating he wants the package sent to his character. We send some money (say... 100k?), a couple castle permits (10?), oils (10?) and one unicorn pendent.

Why these numbers?
The permits are so he can come in and out of the castle to send/recieve mail, the 10 oils are in case he gets silver/crystal weapons (don't bother oiling anything else at the point unless it is a high stat). Money? It costs $1k to petition, $5k to petition. I believe it was in 5 straight petitions you can go from peasant to knight or capt

How would we run it?
For everyone that uses this serivce, we would ask for unicorn horns, the jewels nessary to make the pendants and *maybe* money.

I think every1 who is intrested in donating and helping out the clan could use one of their *side* characters to collect some horns and jewelrys. If we do this day by day, hopefully, we should be able to come up with a fair ammount.

A prospective members package? I like the idea.

S'more reasons to do it this method:

Unicorn's are not an easy (relativly speaking) monster to kill, and helping it out has a lower chance of gettin a horn then killing does.

Easy to add if someone is already hunting around for Dwarf Axes (SB/CSB materials)

Great idea, Cheshire. I've got a few characters that can kill Unicorns in a clean way..(think I've to about 10 pendants right now). Hope this idea gets alot of support and encouragement cuz I think it rocks!

Alright, i have more emmys then i will ever need my whole life, fair amounts of rubys and garnets and i already have 25 pendents.

I will start a request thread in the market place for people to donate uni-horns.

My questoin, what should our "package" consist of and how much of each?

I'm thinking:
~10 castle permits
1 unicorn pendant
50k marks

50k marks is enough for newbies to start a storage and keep going into it, to send mail and to petition into titan. The castle permits allow them to enter the castle area to send/recieve mail, to petition and eventaully to enter the court.

The only catch I see so far is that they'd need access to the castle first to even receive the package.

costs 800 marks for a single castle permit which might seem steep, but since we would be sending 50k...

Oh, right. I keep forgetting the cost has dropped from 5000 marks.
