Get rid of the "Your Message Has Been Sent" Page??

After much discussion with Curu, it's finally come down to a point. After you post something in a thread, you are directed to another page that says "Your message has been sent". It is the purpose of this poll to decide the fate of that page. Choose yes to see the page permanently gone or Choose no to keep that page.

Edit: This post will run for 7 days (or one week if you're a Math major)

I say it shouldn't because I often go offline as I send a message and then speed onto something else. I suppose it'd show the same by sending me back to whatever page, but I like the sent message.

I say it should stay. My internet connection is just about as trustworthy as the Soviet government. A little less corrupt, but still, it serves as a good indication about whether or not my messages have been sent.

Quik question (and not for the sake of arguing) : Suppose the page is removed. Once you post your message or whatever, I would think it would be posted onto the thread, wouldn't it? My thinking is that it's an unnecessary page - what you two are saying is that it serves as confirmation that you posted successfully. What's going on??

For clarification: All the necessary modification would do is send you directly to the thread you posted on, rather than having an intermediary page that gives you the option of returning to the thread or to the forum. The page, as exists in default phpBB builds, also will send you back to the thread automatically after a certain amount of time.

This modification would emulate the way ezboard presently handles new posts.

Ah... Well I suppose then that your connection wouldn't really matter. I'm not going to change my vote though; I like it.

Zip, you just enjoy being contrary, don't you?? Can't blame you, though - seems like everyone else but Zukie, er, I mean Zuka, likes it (don't hate me, Zuka, it was Omin's idea!)

So why this pole?! You've teased me. You've lead me on. You've brought me hopes...only to dash them away.

For shame...for shame on all of you!

Sorry Tordek . I have no idea what happened, but it sounds like you're really upset. I've got one dry shoulder you can cry on if you need. ;) Friends are always there for each of you. And I am ashamed, though I don't know what for...

What the hell are you talking about? I thought you were asking if you could change your vote.
