What's the limit, huh?

Okay, I've tried forever to figure it out and haven't. Here it is:

I started DC about a year ago (1.5 maybe) and have been training my main character ever since then; I'm about 200 guts, wits, & skills. Here's the thing that burns me : How are some people's stats sooo high? I've heard about the experience thing that got changed a few years ago - what's that all about?

Also, how can you get those high-stat weaps like what Chesh is outfitted with? It has been said that you can trade for them, but can you really? Seriously....

One last thing: why isn't there anything posted in the Vault? I know only mods or admins can post there, so why don't they/you?

Sorry, not done yet: where do you think the future of DC is going? Will global issues be dealt with (we are a numerous force, ya know?)? Who would want to start a coalition with a common goal? Huh?

I keep a close eye on the FAQ (got it bookmarked) and haven't read about any of this there.

Yeah, Bow4lyf, I've played it - not nearly as good as the DC1. My question to you is : what kind of an answer is that??!?!!?!??!?!?!?!!??! Don't get me wrong - I appreciate a response/reply/answer, but that doesn't exactly answer my questions. Oh well, thanks for trying

Sry, i was kind of in rush for the last reply. So...

1. You get high stats by questing... usually people train in Queen's Court (as you can decide which stats u can gain)

2. Those items Chesh is wearing is considered Tiques. Before the update of 2001 (i believe) you could enchant items without a limit, but the att and def stats were lower.

3. The vault is a question i am confused about myself, im sure u need to ask Curulan or Chesh that question.

BTW, what's up with the experience tweak that happened a while ago - that seems to have decided already now who are the higher-stat players....

Cheshire3 was born sometime in... spring of 1999 or 2000 (can't recall which one) and right now i have an avg of 810 stats (like 710G 810W 910C).

My wits got high because of previous versions of DC, wits were easier to gain. The last few months i've been drinking (gains charm) and that is how my charm caught up to and past my wits.

Lately because of time, i've been dicing with my main to get more wits.

But keep in mind, us "older players" have charaters with high(er) levels and thus more quests. More quests = more chance of gaining stats.



The vault has nothing because there is nothing "worthy" of putting in there yet. If you go to our old forum (http://p082.ezboard.com/btitanforum) you can see what i mean.

Thanks alot for that info, Chesh. I should've been around when DC started (can anyone reverse time for a few hours, please??? ). To admit it, I never thought about drinking - does that help wits out more than dicing? I know you don't lose near as many quests drinking, but does it give you more wits than dicing?

Drinking gives you charm... and it takes FOREVER to gain charm (at least for me).


Just keep in mind, the higher stats you have, the harder it becomes to gain more.

For example, on my main (Cheshire3), on a good day and using nearly all my quests including the bonus quests (a lil over 200 quests), i will average 1 wit in about 20 to 30 quests.

Drinking, i prolly get about 1 charm for every 2 or 3 minutes of straight drinking (continously clicking). Only reason i have as much charm now is because of the world cup (watch the cup, click/drink for most of the regulation).

Bull only has 30 more stats then me... and i think i could catch up to him in a week or two (assuming i played everyday)
