Whats the age for?

Ok ive been wondering... wats the age for??
atm im lvl 24 n 67 age..
i found like 2 youth elixers n dey decreased my age..
so wat was the point of dat?
do i like get slower when i get older or like die at the age of 100+??

Age is largely useless. The only time it matters is when it goes over 2000 (roughly 5.5 years of logging in every day, discounting the use of Aging and Youth Elixirs).

From what I understand the removal of your name from the top lists after 2000+ age was resolved with one of the previous updates; however it is possible that my info there is incorrect.

Also there are some theories as to the increase of finding rare items with higher age with the trade off of lower stat increases and vice versa for the younger characters. Personally I think this is merely an issue of the older characters having more quests and thus more chances as well as higher stats so lower gains but that is my personal opinion.
