Dog has won the first legal battles over whether or not he should be turned over to Mexico!

...or something like that.

I just saw some headline about it. It's pretty sweet. All Mexico is trying to prove is that they don't have a crap police force... or at least that's what their attempts to take him down seem like to me.

"Crap police force"? How can they even call it a force? I think force is defined as something that actually does something, lol. Oh well, more luck to Mexico in proving that - they're gonna need it!

how much do you actually know about Mexico? Becuase I'm really quite skeptical about that comment, and it sounds alot like the xenophobia that everyone in north america seems to be exibiting these days...
I used to have a whole bunch of titles, I think. That probably makes me better than you. Maybe.

Drug trafficking... the Mexican police force have done very little against that. From what I have read, all of the drug tunnels that have been dug and discovered started in Mexico and the people who found them were authorities from the United States.
Immigration... I know several South Americans who immigrated here and some of them have awful stories of police and soldiers taking tolls from them from passing up to America, even though they had very little money. A teacher of mine showed us an interview with a Brazillian woman who is now living in Arizona that after she ran out of money to bribe them and let them pass, she was forced to have sex with them or they would either not let her pass or kill her.
And then, Dog. He went after a criminal in Mexico who was wanted for over 80 rape counts in America, and yet Mexican authorities did not hand him over, so Dog went and arrested him.
Sure, Mexico has laws against vigilanteism, or however that is spelled. But sometimes laws are meant to be broken, especially when those who place those laws don't pay attention to those that have broken other laws elsewhere.

I have nothing against Mexican civilians in general. I just know for a fact that the Mexican government is corrupt and backwards. I remember reading some years back that no single Mexican president has made it through their entire session as president because of either threats to kill them or actuall assassinations.

So there. That's why I hate the Mexican government and I am ****ing glad I don't live there.

Another thing I've been taught in my studies is that every child born in Mexico is born with $1000 of debt to the United States. Doesn't say much for their economy.

i agree with much of what you say, the "police/Military" of united states of mexico(yes they do refer to themselves in that manner) are corrupt my family had to deal with such a thing when i was really young. they were heading into mexico to our home in the yucatan which would take about a week driving they were pulled over by the military at gunpoint searched one of the soldiers was pulling my dad away (again at gunpoint) if it werent for my mom asking whats happening holding her baby(me) it was likely that my pops was gonna get shot... as soon as they saw me they lowered their guns and let my family go...

thats why if you go to mexico take care and dont trust the cops :?

Please, forgive me. I am passionate when evil is about and would that I could obliterate it, I would, provided there are no insurmountable negative consequences. I'll keep your warning in mind whenever I write such as this again, though.

I could waste my time on a lengthy rant about Mexicans-- specifically illegal immigrants-- and what they're doing to the economy of my state, Arizona.... but I'd rather not waste my valuable time discussing a subject I probably know more about than most people seeing as I live no more than an hour drive from the border.

"Dog" shouldn't have gone into Mexico. It was (slightly) illegal and we shouldn't pander to the lowest common denominator just because we don't think Mexico's government is that great. If they wanted to let a guy as bad as the one Dog brought BACK to the states live in Mexico-- why not? At least then us taxpaying citizens wouldn't have to pay for the luxurious prison stay and a trial...

Mexico shouldn't have waited 'till the last minute to press charges either.

Either way, there are wrongs to both sides and it doesn't reflect positively on either side.
