World of Warcraft Advice, please

Hey everyone, I'm planning on getting WoW Game + 1-Year Subscription for my Christmas present (woohoo!). Now I know some of you play the online game and was hoping you could give me some good advice that only players would know. I've been reading everything on the website but was praying that you all could help me decide on what race/class to start out with.

I'm really looking toward Paladin (melee and healing), Mage (high-ranged attack), or Priest ("most sought after class in groups" so says WoW website), but would take any suggestions/advice you could give me. I would really, really, reallllly appreciate it! Thanks alot!!

I say you make a whole bunch of characters in everything so you can play around and pick out what you like. Then with a bit of time you'll know which ones you'd enjoy more and can focus on them.

I would suggest Blk Mage, its really powerful and almost undefeatable when ur like lvl 50
