no, i thought there were gauntlets (that i wasn't seeing) and VERY rarely, a crystal gauntlet. so it's just the CG huh? that and the CJF are the best left handed weapons, but the CJF is better than the CG. so it would be smarter not to waste quests looking for a CG in hie brazil, and instead look for a CJF in azteca right? although today i got mezzed by the jaguar FOUR times!!!! "wasted" four faires today! ......sorry, that's not your concern, i'm just pissssssed.

Actually, IMO, the CG is better than the CJF (read my post in th eDC-FAQ about the best weapon combo)

But the catch is, it is easier trading for a CJF than a CG because more people quest in Azetca than Brasil

i've looked at the FAQ a few times now. i see that the CG is listed as the better weapon, but when you scroll down to where it shows the stats, the CJF has twice as much defense and almost the same amount of skill. it has less attack, but i've always heard that it's better to have more defense (i would think especially in the left handed weapon) than attack. so that's where my thinking was on that one. what do you think?

If you read my entire post you would have seen this bit:

The only question becomes the lefty. Wear a CJF (higher def and overall stats) or a CG (higher attack and skill) ? The stats of the suit so far is: 269a 263d 1593s; even att and def. I would pick the crystal gauntlet because of the attack and skill. Higher skill means you have a better chance of attacking first, combine it with the higher attack and you have a better chance of killing it on the first hit.

ah, i see. that makes sense. it's hard to look at it that way though. giving up twice the defense for just a little bit more skill and more attack. but if that's how it works, then you can't argue with it. thanks for the clarification. looks like i'll be spending more time in hie brasil then....

Before you go jumping on the golemns, sorry to sound like a butt but...

it all depends on the stats of the weapon, current gear and personal opnion. If you find that monsters are hitting you even if you get the first attack in, then yea, go for def.

how rare are cg's ive been questing in hie brasil for about 2 weeks. went from level 20 to 26 so about a level every 2 days. but i still havent found a cg. ive found silver gladius'. since ive been playing again ive found a silver or cyrstal about every 2 weeks. also are there level requirements because i gotmy silver rat tailwhip when i was just about to leave the dungeons at level 19. seems like right when i reach a certain level and am about to leave an area i find a silver or crystal.
