Ha ha ha, I'm such a nerd but I LOVE showtunes. The Wicked original cast recording is one of my absolute favorite albums. Idina Menzel is my hero.

i love everything from backroad country (Hank Williams Jr. and David Allen Coe) to old school rap (NWA and Run DMC) to old punk (the clash and sex pistols). im really into 70s rock right now like Steve Miller Band, Boston, Kansas...

Me, just about anything but opera and (mainstream) country... with a few execptions like the techno opera from The 5th Element, etc

This includes but is not limited to: rap, punk, pop, rock, oldies, bluegrass, classical, reggaeton, techno, chant, *some* asian stuff... i usually like understanding the lyrics, and so forth.

As for fav band, i don't have one but i typically do have a "Flavor of the Week" and last week it was Fort Minor

for all of you who don't actually know this yet, Tool is the greatest band ever.

aside from that, I'm fairly ecclectic. other than rap, I can't really stand to listen to that for more than a quarter of a second at a time. bluegrass is good, jazz is good, blues, rock, electronica gets old real quick, but it's not so bad once every six months or so. I've been kind of liking some of these british bands lately like muse and snow patrol. choral music is good, classical. some opera is good but you have to recognize there's a difference between good opera and all that other crap that passes for it. I'm glad the smashing pumpkins are recording a new album right now.

that's all I've got.

merry christmas
