If you have under 200 guts, then use mingle. If you have 200 or more, use game. This is the "best" way to gain favor.

Mingle does *not* affect dicing... in fact, none of the court functions affect each other.

The biggest factor in enchanting a weapons is the weapon stats and some people believe that the success rate at enchanting depends on wits (higher wits, higher success). Higher the base stats, the lower the success rate and from personal experience, it seems that the closer you get to fully enchanting a weapon, the harder it becomes.

Well, all CJF's are very hard to find, and you found yourself a *very* nice one... heck, i'd would make an offer for it right now if you said you would sell it.

Luck is only for right handed or two-handed weapons. Bless is fine, but depending on what your current lefty is, i might recommends that you sell the CJF for an upgrade or upgrades to what you are wearing.


The best way to gain wits when you have a "low" amount of them is to just quest and try to help the monsters (when you have that choice available to you). When you have "high" amounts of wits, then dicing.


EDIT: to show you waht i mean, there's a CJF of the exact stats up for sale and here is the first bid on it:

Since i'm bored, i'm gonna disect this bid a lil. But before i Do, if you intend on becoming a trader and keep trading for upgrades, an UTUR is *ALWAYS* worth more than an ESd or ES+BL or ESFS. Always.

76a Shurk, more skill than a 102d SJF (and equivalent CJF), but a shurk of this size is worth more than a 102d. A 72a shurk was just recently sold and here is a bid that was tied for the winning bid

180a sac (es, old)
32d sss
180a sm
168a sm x2
1 mil ds/es

So obviously a 76a is worth more than a 72a.


The crystals in this bid are not very useful unless for trading smaller items or adding/sweetening a bid and thus I don'


The masa... hmm... I have little use for masa's unless it is to trade with since my righty of choice is the SAC but 216a SM is not cheap and can match a lot of SAC's attack.

So a 76a shurk and a 216a SM which would be turned around and sold for a 180a SAC, 32d SSS and change? I would think it sounds like a good deal since you said you lost your righty. But if you want to get a new righty AND get an upgrade to you left? Specify in the bid that that's what you would want.
