Apples are good if you do not want a gaming computer at all, or if the only games you play are Blizzard games.

Also, if you don't want to be able to upgrade your computer period. I do like their laptops, though.

Id try averatec, my laptop is pretty kick ass, I bought it online when I was in Iraq for around a 1000 and I can play pretty much any game that came out before this year on it, DOOM 3, HL2, Call of Duty, its not too bad

i took another look at what you were looking for specifications wise... most laptops under or around 1000 wont have 2 gig of ram, but the ram is easy to upgrade, and going up to 2gig isnt to expensive if you have two ram slots (just get 2x 1gig sticks)

I bought one and upgraded it to 2 ram, for the laptop i paid $730, and i get $100 back in rebates
