See, that's the thing. It can publish stuff that encyclopedias would never bother to do, stuff that could be interesting and possibly a Jeopardy question.

But while still maintaining that academic sense of rigour you'd expect to see in an encyclopedia! Where else are you going to find that much good stuff on all those old anime and Xmen characters you know and love but are long gone from TV?!
