Uhmm, I'm slightly drunk, but:
If you like music, and want to find more music in a style that you like, but with new and surprising artists, then try: http://www.pandora.com/ You type in an artist or a number you like, and the engine just plays you music that seems alike. It just wonderful.
Pandora kind of goes into repeat after 24 hours of listening, but then you should have enough material for the next month! Feel it, taste it, love it. Enjoy
Anyway, these new iPod are great, they actually allow you to own lets see, a (video) mp3 player, a portable movie viewing thingamijigy, and its made by Apple, so you know that its slow for downloads.
if you take the time to actually listen to Tool, I bet you'll change your mind. musically they are so deep, layered, complex, all that, it's like transcending into another world of music. plus they rock hard.
The acoustic magic of "I could have lied" on the Blood Sugar Sex Magik album hasn't been bested in my mind.
By the Way was a decent CD, but I got bored with it fairly quickly as compared to One Hot Minute and to a lesser extent Californication.
Blood Sugar Sex Magik will always reign supreme as far as I'm concerned.
Lately I've been digging the mellow sounds of Jack Johnson. Ignore the poppy songs they play on the radio every once in a great while, "Traffic in the Sky" and "cocoon" off of his first stand alone album "On and On" are just the thing to calm you down and break your heart.
Last of all, best band ever - Led Zeppelin.
Once again you have to reach past the popular to truly enjoy this band.
"Over the Hills and Far Away" doesn't get nearly the radio play it deserves and "No Quarter" is the perfect thing for when your stoned...err...
Best band still functioning? Radiohead. Thom York's vocal range is unmatched and the band is skilled with everything from trance like synths to classical cello's. The variety they offer is unparelled.
