Religion and the Pantheon of Dragon Court

The following is the hierarchal structure and dichotemy of Dragon Court's pantheon.

True Gods

Prime or Supreme God - Timos, the consciousness first born out of mana at the beginning pf time and the creator of the multiverse.

Greater Gods

The gods who were created by Timos for the purpose of forming and maintaining the multiverse.

Specifically: Zemos, Lumos, Fyros, Aquos, Earos, Wyndos (the six Creation/Mana Gods), Fortos and Magos (the pair who make up the twin god, Carisar). Bahamut -- the God of Wisdom (or Dragons) -- is counted as a Greater God, but he is really just the form taken by Timos when he wants to interact with the mortal realm.

Lesser Gods

The highest and most powerful gods of Dragon Court reach the level of Lesser Gods. Originally, they were either created by the Greater Gods, or formed naturally in the Dragon Court universe. Again, these are mana-based higher beings. Unlike the Creation Gods who only have one mana thread property, Lesser Gods can embody meta-magical properties, such as Spirit, Holy, Unholy, etc, in addition to one or more mana thread (Light, Shadow, Fire, etc). Today, when a person says the word "god", they are almost always talking about this class, although notorious deities might be called gods by their followers.

Transcended Mortals:

Deities - Mortals who achieve immortality and have transcended physical form to become mana-based beings are classed as "deities". They are usually weaker in power than Lesser Gods, but depending on their ability at the time of ascension, they can be stronger. Since they are not "true gods", deities always be weaker than the Greater Gods.

Not-Gods, but deserve mention:

Demigods - Any mortals or immortals who possess a sufficient amount of magical power, either by skill or enchanted items, but have not yet transcended physical form, are classed as "demigods". Again, they can be as strong as, or stronger than, Lesser Gods, but never on par with Greater Gods.
