What did me do ???

Have a seat, have a drink, walk among friends, all of this can be done in the Golden Griffon, Titan's official tavern.

What did me do ???

Postby Qarnak » February 2nd, 2007, 1:12 pm

Ummm, if I try to click the little thingy that says automatically log me in, I cannot log in at all. :( If I leave the page, even for a minute, I am logged out. Anybody else having that problem ???

Peace,

Bob

PS. I am using IE7, running on WinXP Home. I haven't tried the forum with PC-BSD to see if it works there.

Yea.. I've had that problem a few times. It's how I normally end up posting as guest on accident. Just make sure you're logged in before posting.

Sorry though, I hope it stops acting up.

I had that problem too until I reloaded my computer from scratch. I barely have any programs on it now and the only security I use is AVG, which, by the way is the best antivirus system out there by far. everyone on this site should download avgfree and also the antispyware and it has its own firewall. I know that was on another thread, but I don't feel like posting extra posts when it can be condenced.

So anyway, now the only time I ever have any problems logging in is if I switch to a different username for rp posts or if I ever decide to delete all my cookies, which I don't really ever need to do.

AVG is good, but it does scan sometimes without you knowing. Now that I think about it though.. I haven't posted as a guest in a long time. So it could be because I installed it.. then again clearing out my huge amount of cookies so it can save newer things probably did it. :p

I have to log in twice when I visit the website. I was wondering if anyone else goes through this. I log in with name and password click submit and end up right back at square one. Then I log in again and I'm in. Happens everytime. Or maybe my line is tapped excuse the paranioa

Well, I am having the same problem on Mozilla and Konqueror under PC-BSD. I have cleared cookies and the problem persists. It has to be something with the webhost. I am not having this problem on any other phpbb forum. Tis oddniss.

Peace,

Bob

On my work computer I have to log in twice any time I come back to the page and it is IE7. At home I log once and it will stay logged for hours even when I return to the page and it is IE7 also.

2cents: Never had a problem with the website. 'Course, I pay a billion dollars for good internet service since I'm out here in the sticks.
